Apple's Shortcuts
Ever since shortcuts came out as a default app in 2019, shortcuts have been used more and more with iPhone users, but surprisingly not many people actually know there way around the app! Hopefully after your read this article you get a decent understanding of what exactly the shortcuts app can do for you.
There are tons of shortcuts within many apps. This article is going to outline the very beginning, creating custom bookmarks to open apps
Before we start, it is best if you have an image readily available in photos, if you want use the default icon bookmarks you may start the read.
1. First things first. You have to open your shortucts application
Here are some of my bookmarks that I've created.
2. To add a shortcut, click the plus button on the top right of your screen.
3. Tap the little + on the top corner of your screen.
Once you do that you should get this page right here
4. Click the Add Action button
5. In the search bar near the top of your screen type Open App
Usually it will be the second option under Actions
.
6. Now you have selected the function you want to run. Click choose
to select the app that you want to create a bookmark for.

7. Click the three dots on the top right.
8. Name the shortcut in the Shortcut Name
greyed out text.
9. Click Add to Home Screen
in blue and select the smaller icon image.
10. Select Choose Photo
from the option menu and select the picture you want the app to show up as.
11. Rename the New Shortcut
as that is what will be displayed on your home screen.
12. Once the shortcut has been succesfully added this image should appear on your screen.
13. Lastly, click done on the top of your screen, go to your home screen and check out the cool new bookmark you have set up!
